8. Project Going Forward

Now that the research is out of the way and new skills have been picked up from experimenting with Maya and Unreal, I will be hoping that going forward that if everything goes to fruition, I will be starting on the production fairly soon. I am also hoping to follow what is exactly on the Gantt Chart in the previous post to the best of my abilities. I know how well environments are a significant part of any world and how the Heathrow examples explore how designing an impactful interior space would appear to get a rough idea of how the shape of the my underground station design would form part of my sole indoor space.

Within my knowledge of how Quixel Megascans work and how detailed their textures are in comparison to the ones found in Unreal’s starter content, I can make the landscapes even more detailed and manipulate the displacement and roughness of those textures to include them in a landscape auto material experimented in Unreal. I can also apply the skills I have acquired from experimenting with cel-shading and ocean shaders and go beyond them to create quality environment pieces that would contribute to my portfolio.
