Greetings. My name is Liam Benstead and I thrive to become a game designer. Below are my best work from my time at university, ranging from different aspects of game design.
Prototypes
This prototype was formed as part of the Chindogu theme. I decided to pitch an FPS with no enemies inside, that enhances the theme's 'uselessness' element to curate a great prototype.
I made this prototype using Twine and added Audio in replace of text that complemented the Voice theme perfectly. Using images to tell a story with headphones required enhances the quality of the prototype.
This prototype falls under the theme of Teamwork and it involves two playable characters traversing through a temple-like environment with platforms and puzzle solving elements. This is the one where I include many different interactive features including a door that must be opened by pressing a button and the ability to switch between the two characters.
Level Design
I have also made a level crafted from a blockout and added assets to enhance the quality and make the level overall playable with the tools used inside of Unreal Engine.
3D Models
Here are the collection of the best assets that I have created throughout the course. I have made the models as part of the 3D Asset Design, Team Project, and Major Project modules, ranging from simple to complex and detailed assets.
zBrush Character Sculpt
I have also attempted a character sculpt using zBrush as part of the course. I used many different features inside of the software, such as dynameshing and clay-painting to maximize the anatomy of the scuplt.
Character Animation
I have also learnt how to rig and animate a character using Maya's animation toolbelt to successfully provide a short animation to demonstrate my capabilities. Here are the walk and run cycles.
